Learning outcomes
Læringsutbytte - Kunnskap:
The student will have knowledge about classification of major organic elements. This includes functional groups, isomerism, nomenclatur and mechanism of reactions.General kowledge about the structure of the major class of biomolecules in the cells and their biochemical reactions. Different biochemical patways are current items. Overview of the energy generation process from oxidation of carbohydrate and saturated fattacids is expected knowledge. Understanding genetic information proccessing ; replication and transfer of genetic information is expected knowledge.
Teaching methods
Pedagogiske metoder:
Lectures, compulsory laboratory course and exercises.
Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:
All compulsory laboratoryjournals, exercises and participation on cumpulsory workshop at the begining of the semester must be completed and approved before the examination. It is 6 compulsory exercises and 6 compulsory laboratory journales in the course.
