Disability: Theory, Social Policy and Everyday Life II

The course gives a survey on different historical, ideological and theoretical perspectives on disability. Emphasis will be put on recent research closely linked to social politics and everyday life. The course will address different current issues and is therefore likely to change from one course to the next.

This course is designed to give the student insight into different conceptions of disability, consequences for research and the link to politics.

Teaching method and activities: Lectures, seminars and written assignment.
Compulsory activity: Approved topic and curriculum for term paper.
Form of assessment: Term paper with individually selected topic.The term paper is of around 12 - 15 pages.
