Introduction to Research Methods

This course will give an introduction to quantitative methods, qualitative methods and historical methods. Philosophy scientific problems related to each of these methods will be discussed.

The aim of this is to enable students to:
- evaluate scientific texst
- apply the methods in their own research

8 hours weekly the first half of the semester (7 weeks). A 6 hour exam will be arranged where students are asked to answer one or several questions from one or several research methods (quantitative research methods, qualitative research methods and historical research methods).
