Structural Intergrity, Specialization Course

This course is assembled from two modules of 3.75 study points each, all together 7.5 study points. Each student shall in agreement with the adviser for the project work select two modules of 3.75 study points each from the following list:
TMM9 Mechanical Integrity,
TMM10 Robust Material Selection and Design-Offshore Application.
Topic number 2 can be selected among 3.75 study points subjects from Department of Engineering Design and Materials (TMM4505, TMM4515 and TMM4525) and relevant subjects from NTNU in general. The most actual departments will be Department of Structural Engineering and Department of Materials Technology.

This course gives deeper understanding in key subjects related to the actual product development project work.

The moules are thought as guided self studies accompanied with seminars during the semester. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. Postponed exam is held within the end of the exam period. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
