Learning outcomes
Learning outcome
Knowledge: The candidate has a basic knowledge of the manufacturing and processing techniques, methods and equipment used. The candidate sees the linkages between market, product and production. Knowledge of material flow and information flow related to production. The subject also will provide the candidate with knowledge of control methods, measuring and testing equipment as well as statistical methods for processing data related to this. Skills: The candidate can deal with the consequences of the linkages between market, product and production for selected products. The candidate has the skills to assess the suitability of the various methods of production for a given product, production and vice versa. General competence: The candidate has insight into the technical implications of selected solutions within its field of study and can assess the disadvantages and benefits of manufacturing methods. The candidate can communicate knowledge within its field to various audiences both written and orally, in Norwegian and English
Teaching methods
Lectures. Self-study individually and in teams. The students prepare excercises in teams, and tutor and mark them as peers. The students present selected aspects of excercises and solutions as peers.
