Distress mechanisms, methods for mixture design, bituminous binders, methods for structural design, load response analyses, bearing capacity, strengthening.

Give a further introduction to methods for structural design of roads and streets, plus thorough knowledge of pavement materials, with a special emphasis on bituminous materials.

Lectures combined with individual and group exercises. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
