Introduction to Biostatistics

Course contents:
The course contains an introduction to descriptive statistics; the concept of probability, randomness, uncertainty, prevalence, incidence; calculus of proability; testing of hypotheses; the normal distribution, the binomial distribution, the poisson distribution; regression analysis; analysis of crosstables; introduction to SPSS.

The aim of the course is to give the student a fundamental introduction to statistics, enable the student to read articles based on simple statistics and carry out simple statistical analyses.
