About this course
Content
The practice will be linked to project-orientated activity with an emphasis on reviewing children, youth and adults. Conditions, at both macro as well as local community levels, for controlling own vital necessity and life, as well as independency and growth are also emphasized.
Learning outcomes
The student will be given practical experience in carrying out the role within the field and will learn about the professional and ethical alternatives and restrictions involved. Methods for analyzing problems connected to individual as well as community are emphasized. The project-practice will be based on ways of working, and the importance and approach to community psychology.
Knowledge:
The student has knowledge and practical experience with project-oriented reviews within community psychology.
The student has knowledge about important approaches and working methods within the field.
The student has knowledge about the topics interventions and contribution for preventive health measures.
Skills:
The student has skills with relevant professional approach for reviewing and analyzing problems using community psychological working methods.
General competence:
The student has knowledge about community psychological problems.
The student is able to communicate and discuss problems including individuals as well as systems.
Teaching methods
Practice attached to project related activities and studies in primary health and social services related to mental health centers, in the municipality of psychologist in the school system and the educational psychology service working for social psychological perspectives and adaptation issues related to exclusion from work and school. Other relevant areas may be projects related to psychologists' role in child welfare and justice.
Submission of practice report and presentation of this in plenary.
This course is evaluated according to the Guidelines for the implementation and evaluation of clinical practice.
