Community Psychology

The teaching will include central concepts, issues and working methods in community psychology. Topical themes include the organisation of health and social services, legislation and administration. Professional challenges for psychologists in municipal health and social services will be illustrated. Important framework conditions that are significant for action planning will be examined.

The student has obtained skills about teaching methods for community psychology interventions in different levels of hierarchy.
The student has skills in preparing an oral presentation in which they present results of an analysis of a non-governmental organization of their choice.
The student has skills in how to use community psychology concepts and models to analyze an organization conducting community interventions.
General competence:
The student have a broader view to understand individual in context and to apply community psychology approach to clinical practice.
The student knows how to write a scientific essay.
