Biological Psychology 2

The course gives a thorough training in the biological foundation of perception and behaviour with particular emphasis on principles characterizing functional biological systems. The scientific topics include, sensory/motor systems, emotions, hormones and plasticity/learning.

Knowledge: The student has a thorough knowledge of the anatomical, physiological and genetic principles related to human behavior and awareness, and a deeper understanding of the research methods used in biological psychology.

Skills: Students can discuss writing scientific issues in biological psychology, based on theory and research findings.

General competence: The student has good knowledge of key issues, theory and literature related to biological psychology. Students can discuss scientific findings in the light of theory and key issues.

Lectures 2 hours per week. Some lectures might be given in English.
