Organ B

In addition to obligatory instruction, the student takes part at in-house concerts and the department's public concerts, and is provided practice in recording. The course also includes ensemble- and accompaniment practice.

Compulsory course in Liturgic Playing/Organ Improvisation B:
The course involves practice and awareness related to the skills required for sermon playing, in addition to an understanding of the particularities of congregation singing, and how this can be promoted through vivid and engaging organ playing. The course also includes practice in improvisational skills required in liturgic organ playing, such as modulation, transposition, simple intonations and extempore harmonisation.

Compulsory course in i Liturgics/Hymnology A:
The course should provide students with knowledge of the history of liturgic development, insight and understanding of different aspects of contemporary church and sermon basics, and a basic introduction to psalm and choral history.

Compulsory course in Support Instrument B:
The student can choose support instruction for the grand piano or the harpsichord.

The individual instruction should – in addition to a development of skills and knowledge of a varied repertoire – further the student’s own artistic abilities and musical personality.

Individual instruction - 1 hour pr. week for 27 weeks.
Interpretation - Two 1-hour group sessions for 20 weeks.
Project - various instruction.
Compulsory courses.

Compulsory activity:
Satisfactory attendance in the compulsory instruction and completed compulsory courses in organ knowledge.

Compulsory course in Liturgic Playing/Organ Improvisation B:
Group instruction - 2.5 hours pr. week for 27 weeks.
Assessment: Satisfactory attendance in the compulsory instruction.

Compulsory course in Liturgics/hymnology A:
Instruction: Lectures - 1 hour pr. week for 27 weeks.
Assessment: Pass/fail based on written assignments and attendance in the compulsory instruction.

Obligatory course in Support Instrument B:
Instruction: 0.5 hours (grand piano/harpsichord) for 27 weeks.
Assessment: Satisfactory attendance in the compulsory instruction.
