Laws of Cultural Heritage

Law of cultural heritage is about the use of judicial means within the field of protection of cultural heritage. Law of cultural heritage contains elements taken from several different laws.

A candidate who has passed the course is expected to have the following overall learning according to curriculum description of the topic, defined as the knowledge and skills:

Knowledge

The candidate

• has basic knowledge about law method and thinking
• is familiar with the laws of cultural heritage, in particular the Cultural Heritage Act and the Planning and Building Act
• has basic knowledge of procedure for Public Administration

Skills

The candidate

• is able to use the sources of law and other legal instruments to find legal durable solutions in cultural heritage
• has the skills to participate in the basic processing in cultural heritage management
• has basic knowledge of the written submissions of legal issues
