Introduction to Film Studies

The course provides an introduction to film studies as an academic discipline and equips the student with basic conceptual tools for discussing and analysing films.

Knowledge
Upon successful completion of the course the student will have:
- knowledge of how to work with film academically.

Skills
Upon successful completion of the course the student will know how to:
- write academic papers on film, and master an academic citation system.

Lectures, film screenings and seminars. This includes supervised training in academic reading and writing.

Students are required to stay updated on any information given by the department or course director via Blackboard. This course is taught in Norwegian only.
