European Studies III

The first part of this course discusses central theoretical approaches to the study of EU and European integration within social sciences and history. The second part discusses if and how culture is or could become a "missing link" in a presumed common European identity. In the last part of the course constitutes an analysis of France's, Germany's and Great Britain's relationship to the EU and the European integration process in a theoretical framework.

The students should have gained in-depth insight into central theoretical approaches to the study of the EU and the European integration process. They should also have knowledge of Great Britain's, Germany's and France's to EU and the European integration process.
