Vocational Teaching and Learning Methods Releated to Indiviuals and Groups

The subject includes competence in analysing the qualifications and skills requirements of the vocations and interpreting mandatory directives. It contains knowledge of how to provide guidance to individuals and groups, how to lay the groundwork for tailored training, how to manage it and how to differentiate between interests, based on the individual’s learning needs and competence requirements in working life. Assessment of learning outcomes, based on observation, documentation and evaluation of the quality of the vocational work are included in the subject. Management of democratic learning processes, which reinforce the autonomy of the individual. Development of a learning environment characterised by mutual respect and where equal status and interaction are integral. Assessment in the subject will be by oral examination in groups, based on documentation and presentation of vocational didactic work carried out.

The student can:
• analyse the market’s need for technical work and the skills and qualifications requirements of the vocation
• plan and state the reasons for training that is interest-differentiated, relevant, soundly rooted in the vocation and adapted to the individual’s learning needs and education plans
• select content and working methods with the individual pupil/apprentice that meet the needs of society and is adapted to developments in the industry
• manage and guide learning processes in vocational didactic work, individually and in groups
• assess learning outcomes, based on observation, discussion, documentation and evaluation of the quality of the vocational work
• contribute to the development of a democratic learning environment, characterised by cooperation and participation, which reinforces the autonomy of the individual.
• assess and use technical and political sources, analyse mandatory directives and manage teaching work in line with national guidelines
• consider the student’s own role and the framework around the training activity, as a basis for improvement
