Biodiversity and Society

The course gives a deeper understanding of the subject content in an important theme in natural science teaching. It deals with the topic of biodiversity, both theoretically and through practical field work. The subject’s relevance in today’s society will be discussed with emphasis on the ethical perspective.

The student
- Has thorough knowledge of biodiversity and can discuss its meaning in various perspectives
- Can identify common organisms and species in Norway
- Has knowledge of the types of cultural landscape and of managing biodiversity.
