Læringsutbytte - Kunnskap:
On completion of the course students will
Develop a holistic view on human integrity and rights
Obtain knowledge about Code of Ethics for Medical Laboratory Scientist
Obtain knowledge about ethical theory
Be able to understand reflection tools
Have knowledge about Norwegian Biotechnology Council
Læringsutbytte - Ferdigheter:
On completion of the course students will
Achieve ability to reveal conflicts of value, and ethical dilemmas in practical health- and social work on individual, group and societal level.
Develop the proper attitude to patient approach
Develop a humane view in accordance to the values of health workers.
Be able to use reflection tools
Be able to work inter-professionally

On completion of the course students will
Be able to work within the Code of Ethics for Medical Laboratory Scientist
Develop an understanding of a good inter-professional work environment
Teaching methods
Pedagogiske metoder:
Lectures and group work
Training in ethical reflection
Practical training in interaction with patients, internship in hospitals, interprofessional groups
Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:
Mandatory requirements to be presented for examination:
Mandatory assignments (100%) must be handed in on time to be able to participate at internship
Presence (100%) in practical training period in hospitals
Presence (80%) in compulsory classes
Compulsory participation in group discussions
