Safety and Security for the Social Sciences

The course provides presentations of theories, discourse and practices related to understanding and managing safety and security challenges in a wide social and international context.

The course will present basics of conceptualizing safety and security for the social sciences, science and ethics in the governing of risk, social values, ideology and the globalization of threats and the individual, social, cultural and political determinants of dealing with risk.
