Om emnet

Faglig innhold

The thesis must have a scientific structure, be founded on valid theory, and make adequate use of the appropriate literature. The project for the master's thesis must be relevant to neuroscience. Topic and project are prepared in consultation with a supervisor, and will be subject to approval by the study programme council. The student must participate actively in research through his/her work on the project. The supervisor is appointed by agreement. It is the student's responsibility to contact possible supervisors for his/her project early on in the program. The research project is scheduled for 2 semesters, but it is recommended that the student starts planning the thesis early and does some work on it during the entire study period. The evaluation is based on the thesis and an oral examination, where the student presents his/her project with discussion. The oral examination is used to adjust the grade of the thesis. Students must write the thesis in English. Details regulating the work with and assessment of the thesis are given in theGuidelines for the Master's Thesis at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
