Artistic In-Depth topic studies & project documentation 2 form the main part of this variant of the Master's Degree Programme in Music Performance. The content depends on the chosen topic.

Through work with the topic, the candidate is expected to further develop her/his competence to an advanced level within the chosen topic of concentrated study. Knowledge The candidate - has gained insight and competence in relevant research methods for the chosen topic. - can analyze and discuss music-related issues and discussions based on history and the present, both within the professional environment and in the public - can articulate and discuss musical issues in a critically reflective manner - can analyze and relate to material from artistic development work and research, and use this in their work Skills The candidate - has developed their instrumental/vocal skills to a high artistic level - shows artistic integrity and maturity - can shape, reflect on and present an idea for an artistic development work - shows ambitions, independence and professional relevance in their choice of repertoire - have some experience with relevant source material (literature, scores, recordings, etc.) in performing or creative work - can develop a consistent presentation or exposition of the explorative work with the candidates’ chosen topic, in a relevant format. (Written text in chosen genre, or multimodal presentation created in Research Catalogue) General competence The candidate - is able to familiarize oneself with and define an in-depth study area with relevance for one's own practice/creation - shows independence towards demanding artistic challenges

Individual instruction in the main instrument Accompaniment for applicable instruments. Individual supervision in working methods, use of sources and documentation format. It is the student's responsibility, in cooperation with the teacher to keep track of appointments of teaching and activity in the course.
