Læringsutbytte - Kunnskap:
After passed the exam the student should know the main steps in a design process:
systems engineering as a process, strategy and methods
functional marine requirements - technical specifications
rules and regulations
synthesis and analysis of systems
technical documentation
Læringsutbytte - Ferdigheter:
After passing the exam the student should be able to:
initiating, plan, execute and document system design projects
apply advanced comoputer tools for design and analysis of multidisipline systems
performing simulations combining hydraulics and mechanics
make required technical documentation

After passing the exam the student should be able to:
perform multi-discipline projects
design of marine systems
use of simulation software

Pedagogiske metoder:
Lectures, exercises and mandatory project work.
Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:
The project work is mandatory. Minimum 2/3 of the exercises have to be approved.
