Læringsmål
Knowledge
After passed exam the student will have deep knowledge in industrial design history, and how key industrial designers have contributed to the world of today. The student will also have good knowledge and understanding in how products are designed to have both emotional and practical effects on the users. The student will also have knowledge on the importance of cognitive ergonomics on our use and interaction with all types of products, and how these qualities can be evaluated and analyzed.
Competence:
The students will be able to develop ideas and present their findings to the class and lecturer giving feedback. This will improve their ability to give clear and convincing presentations related the topics.The student will also manage tools like Photoshop and/or similar to prepare design presentations where layout, presentation and finish is focused.
General competence
After this course the students will be able to work with industrial design projects professionally both individually and in a team (industrial designers, engineers and management), understanding needs and contributions from the different stake-holders in the processes. After this course the student also should have some improved skills in the use of relevant design tools such as 3D CAD, Photoshop, MS powerpoint and/or similar.
