This course is targeting a rising challenge with the population on earth getting older. The course is focusing on both understanding the issues of health promotion, rehabilitation and aging as well on how to develop a safe and secure exergame using real time human motion capturing and motion analysis. The course consist of five modules: Introduction, Real Time Human Motion Capturing and Motion Analysis, Safe system development and implementation, Gamification in everyday life situations and Exergaming.

Læringsmål

The student will - Have a basic understanding of the issues of health promotion, rehabilitation and aging. - Be aware of the general concepts and goals of exergame development. - Have a comprehensive understanding of the mechanics of human movement. - Be able to evaluate marker based and non-marker based real time 3D motion capturing systems, with respect to whole body and limb movements - Be aware of risks and to perform systematic risk assessment in health care situations - Know principles of how to design safe and secure systems for exergaming - Be able to apply a user centred approach to the analysis of everyday situations with regard to a desired behaviour change. - Be able to plan and design methodological and technological solutions using gamification.
