Special Syllabus for Master Degree

The special syllabus should be relevant and support the master`s thesis in a general way and give a broader perspective on the master's thesis topic. See also learning outcome descriptions for the master's thesis course (GEOG3900 or GEOG3940).

- Self-study. The course consists of an individual theoretical syllabus related to the master`s degree and topics in the field of natural resources management or master's degree in Geography. Syllabus is defined by the students in co-operation with his/her supervisor, and must be approved by the Department of Geography. The syllabus should be approximately 500 pages. It should give a broader scientific understanding, and preferably be of newer date. Reports/grey literature can only be used exceptionally. The chosen syllabus cannot be the same as used in the master`s thesis, program of study or from subjects in lower degree.
