Avansert plantefysiologi

This course will draw on current and classic scientific litterature in plant physiology to explore topics selected by the instructor and students. The primary student activities in the course will be thorough reading and critical discussion of journal articles and the oral presentation and comprehensive review article on the spesific aspect of the topics discussed. The course may be taken together with BO 3020 so that the students can conduct experiments related to the topics discussed in this course. On completion of the course students should have extensive understanding of the principles and methods relating to one or more advanced research areas in plant physiology

Etter å ha fullført kurset skal studentene ha ekstensiv kunnskap om prinsipper og metoder innen et fokusert tema i plantefysiologi, erfaring i kritisk lesning av vitenskapelige publikasjoner og vitenskapelige skriving. Faglig innhold: Kursen utnytter inneværende og klassiske litteratur i plantefysiologi for å granske et eller mer tema utvalgte av instruktøren og studentene. Kritisk lesning og aktiv diskusjon fremheves. Studentene skal gi muntlige prestasjoner og skrive en artikkel på en del av kursens innhold. Kursen kan koordineres med en eksperimentell oppgave i BO3020.
