Innovation and Entrepreneurship

This course provides a foundation for working with innovation and entrepreneurship. The course is based on a number of basic innovation tools. Central to the course is insight into the customer's/user's needs. Academic themes are uncovering needs, creative processes, business models, anchoring, communication, innovation teams and the importance of passion. The course provides the basis for being able to develop teaching adapted to different groups from grades 8-13 and their curriculum goals.

Knowledge about:

• innovation and basic innovation tools
• and an overview of relevant curricula that can be seen in the context of innovation and entrepreneurship for grades 8-13

Skills to:

• uncover and interpret customer needs and translate these into business models using creative tools
• critically, creatively and systematically develop innovative and smart solutions in order to realize business models and meet customer needs
• carry out, present and evaluate an overall innovation project in collaboration with others
• pass on relevant theory within innovation and entrepreneurship as well as the connection between theory and practice
• plan, carry out, assess and document teaching for different groups in innovation and entrepreneurship
• develop, implement and evaluate collaboration with external relevant actors and know different ways of using external learning arenas

General competence about:

• to facilitate entrepreneurship, new thinking and innovation, and for local working, social and cultural life to be involved in education
• to convey subject matter in writing and orally, also using digital tools
• to apply their vocational, didactic and technological knowledge

The subject includes teaching at assemblies and work with a comprehensive project assignment at and between assemblies. The forms of work vary and may include lectures, work in groups, discussions, presentations, etc.
