Professional Knowledge

Current curricula, career opportunities within one's own industry and development and change within one's own industry. Ethical guidelines within the subject/industry. Knowledge of various laws and regulations. The course is linked to course YFL4306 Pedagogical and vocational practical training.

Knowledge

The student 

• has an overview of professions and structure, including cross-discipline, for vocational training at Vg1, Vg2 and Vg3, the apprenticeship scheme, within their own education program 
• has knowledge of various laws and rules that regulate the practice of the various professions / subjects - has an overview of development and change within own industry and own subject 
• has in-depth knowledge of the profession / occupations the student has professional practice in the 1st year of study with a focus on vocational tasks, working conditions, job opportunities and necessary personal qualities 
• has knowledge of the opportunities for further education based on the various the trade and journeyman's letters within their own program area / subject 

Skills 

The student 

• can give students an overview of the professions within the education program, the structure of the education program, and how they can find more detailed knowledge about the individual profession, as well as opportunities for further education 
• can inform students about their own profession and the profession (s) the student has had professional practice in the 1st year of study 
• can guess lighter curricula 

General competence 

The student 

• has a reflective relationship to the overall development in the industry, own subject area and current professions, including the need for new professions 
• is able to analyze and discuss similarities and differences between professions within the education program 
• can use examples from the the occupations the student has had practice in the 1st year of study in the teaching

The course includes teaching at sessions as well as work with work requirements / exercises between sessions. The forms of work vary and can include lectures, work in groups, discussions, presentations and excursions.
