Vocational focus and differentiated teaching

The course deals with professional vocational depth within one’s own field of study, focusing on work and development processes in one’s own profession. The subject emphasizes further development in the following areas: personal experience, technological development, research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adapted training based on the needs of students and apprentices within professional vocational education and training.

Knowledge

The student has:

• knowledge of standards and current legislation related to professional practice.
• in-depth knowledge of professional practices in their own profession.
• knowledge of learning communities and adapted training through collaboration with various stakeholders in professional vocational education and training.
• knowledge of national and international research and development work related to vocational education and training.

Skills

The student has:

• insight into and can apply work processes related to their own profession in accordance with standards and current legislation.
• insight into and can adapt training based on the needs and interests of students and apprentices.
• insight into and can facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration between school and the workplace.
• insight into and can plan and conduct systematic development work within vocational education and training.

Learning Methods and Activities

The subject includes teaching and learning activities during gatherings, including research and development work. Parts of the subject involve professional vocational orientation within various fields of study. There are mandatory coursework requirements in the subject, and individual work and group work are planned between gatherings.

• Oral presentation individually and/or in groups
• 80% mandatory attendance at the gatherings
