Knowledge- the student:
Has knowledge about normal ageing
Has knowledge about humans¿ basic needs
Gives professional reasons for his/her nursing interventions when meeting patients in nursing homes
Has basic knowledge in administration of medication, can relate to different forms of medication and administration, and guidelines for dosage and requisition of medicine
 
Skills- the student:
Carries out justifiable care based on the patient¿s basic needs
Uses reflection about his/her own professional practice during supervision
Undertakes data collection, reporting and documentation related to basic needs
Identifies the nursing needs of people with different ethnic, religious and cultural background
 
General competence- the student:
Takes responsibility for his/her own learning
Shows the ability to participate in practical cooperation structures for a sound nursing practice
Performs nursing in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the profession under supervision

Learning by experience, tutoring in groups and individual.
