Urban Storm Water Management PhD

The course covers selected topics in urban hydrology and storm water management. The content will be designed for each student individually. The following topics can be part of the course: - Treatment of storm water - Water quality - Modelling- Urban stream water quality and hydrology - Measuring and instrumentation for urban hydrology - Fate and transport of pollutants in the urban water system

Knowledge: The candidate should have knowledge of a subject within urban hydrology and storm water management on an international leading level. The candidate should be able to apply various measurement methods, and to contribute to the development of new theories and methods in his field of research. Skills: Candidates will master the theory and use of measuring instruments used in the field of storm water management and urban hydrology. The candidate should be able to use these skills to undertake research of high international level. The candidate should be able to assess the work of others on the same level. General competence: The candidate should be able to use knowledge from the discipline of scientific tasks and projects, and disseminate research and development by recognized national and international channels.

Seminar, exercises, project work. To pass the course a score of at least 70 percent is required.
