Academic Writing and Design with a Chosen Specialisation

The candidate is given the opportunity to spesialize in a self-chosen theme that is relevant to learning in working life and society. This includes an autonomous research work through activities as designing and delimitating of research interest, scientific genre and presentation, and systematic pursuit of relevant literature. The candidate's exploration of research interest and self-chosen theme is aimed at supporting the subsequent master thesis process.

Knowledge: The candidate

• has developed specialized understanding of and insight into a self-chosen subject that is relevant to learning in working life and society.

Skills: The candidate

• is able to systematically seek for, select, and provide arguments for the choice of reading list.
• can situate the chosen theme in relation to the actual international field of research.
• can formulate a delimitated research question and carry out an autonomous analysis of it.
• can present, scrutinize and discuss his or her own and others' work, both in writing and orally, in line with scientific principles.

General competence: The candidate

• holds the competence to plan and carry out a systematic and autonomous process in research and investigative work.
