The arrangement of learning environments for adult learners

The course deals with the arrangement of learning environment for adults and the overarching policy guidelines on lifelong learning. Students are introduced to knowledge on didactics and teaching design, participant perspectives, the adult learner and the role of the teacher. Students discuss issues related to the design of learning environments in lifelong learning by carrying out didactic analyzes in formal, informal and informal learning environments. The analyzes are based on the interaction between learning theories, characteristics in the learning environment and society's priorities (for example, based on learning environments in workplaces or formal learning environments).

Students have insight into various knowledge contributions that provide a basis for the design and analysis of learning environments.

• Skills:

Students have the ability to design and analyze learning environments in workplaces and educational settings, based on the interaction between learning theories, the characteristics of the learning environment, and societal priorities.

• General competence:

Students can critically assess and discuss theoretical and practical aspects of designing and analyzing learning environments where adults participate.

Teaching in the course is session-based and consists of lectures and seminars. Further information about mandatory activities will be provided at the start of the semester.
