  • Simple manual computation of coordinates and heights
  • Reports writing
  • Types of error, their recognition, and prevention possibilities
  • Standard deviation, the mean (average), normal dstribution
  • Brief introduction to simple survey adjustment

Knowledge

  • account for structure and storage formats for geographical data
  • Explain how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are used to solve practical issues
  • Describe the possibilities of geographical analysis - explain the basic principles for presentation of map data
  • apply basic land survey methods
  • Perform manual calculations of coordinates and heights, accuracy calculation
  • prepare documentation and understand the standards
