German Grammar 2

The course offers a specialization in basic grammatical subjects within German grammar as well as an introduction to syntactic analysis and tree structures.

KNOWLEDGE

The candidate

- has knowledge of a number of basic grammatical subjects within German grammar and linguistic structure

- has knowledge of central grammatical and structural differences between Norwegian and German

- masters relevant terminology

PROFICIENCY

The candidate

- can explain the use of central grammatical subjects within the German language

- can use knowledge of central grammatical subjects independently

- can analyse German sentences in form and function with the use of syntactic tools

- can use relevant grammars, dictionaries and reference books

GENERAL COMPETENCE

The candidate

- is able to make use of their knowledge of basic grammatical subjects in written German

- can reflect on differences between Norwegian and German and make use of this in both written and oral German

Lectures and group assignments with discussions and assignments.

Compulsory assignments:

- 75% mandatory attendance (in lectures and seminars)

The absence limit is intended to cover normal sick leave and similar situations. Therefore, you will not be granted valid absence from teaching based on a medical certificate, even if the absence is due to circumstances beyond your control.

In special cases, agreements for exemption can be made with the course coordinator, preferably at the start of the semester.

- 3 short written assignments and/or online tests in German

Teacher-training students can choose to submit one of the compulsory assignments with a didactic focus.

Approved obligatory assignment is valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester).
