German 1

The course gives an introduction to the German language with emphasis on pronunciation, listening comprehension and grammar through oral and written exercises. It also presents aspects of the German culture and society through texts and conversations.

Knowledge

The candidate
-has basic knowledge of the German language, literature, culture and society (level A2/level 1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

Proficiency

The candidate
-can comprehend and communicate as expected at level A2/level 1
-can read and comprehend simple texts
-is able to write short texts
-can converse in German on common topics

Teaching (lectures, written and oral exercises, presentations and group work).
Approved obligatory assignment is valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester).
