Hydraulics

Basic hydraulic calculations for dimensioning water transport systems such as pipes, tunnels, culverts and channels. Pumps and turbines. Uniform, non-uniform, steady and unsteady flow in pipes and channels are central topics of the course.

Provide basic knowledge of equations for and calculations of water flow in rivers, channels and pipes.

Lectures, theoretical, computational and laboratory exercises. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
