Learning outcomes

Knowledge
Students gain knowledge about:
- Descripton of treatment processes with mathematics, reactions, kinetics and hydraulics
- Physical, chemical and microbiological unit processes to be used in water and wastewater treatment
- Combination of unit processes
- Modeling of water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants
- Chemical and biological processes in water and wastewater networks.

Skills
Students can:
- Use matemathical models for water treatment proceses.

General competence
Students understand:
- Unit processes for water and wastewater treatment
- International trends and methods for management of treatment plants.

Teaching methods

Lectures combined with assignments and laboratory exercises partially done in groups. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
