Digital Construction Process, Specialization Project

The course is part of the study program on digital building processes, and will give a specialization within building processes. The project work can have either investigation or research content. Relevant topics for the project can be picked from the whole life cycle of a building project. The project work can be carried out either individually or in groups. The final report can be individual or a combination of individual and group work. The project work can be designed as a startup project for the master thesis.

After completing the course, participants shall independently have

Knowledge:

• how to specialize in a selected, specific topic using scientific methods

Skills:

• put together additional knowledge using registrations, literature studies and other kinds of sources, and combining this with theoretical knowledge.

General competence:

• carry out a major independent project work, including the a project plan, reporting partial results and writing a scientific project report

The course will use lectures, exercises, team work and discussions. The student activities will be concentrated on team-based project work, where CDIO principles are important.
