Learning outcome has advanced knowledge within the academic field of leadership (including risk, issues and crisis management), and specialized insight into leadership of demanding operations has thorough knowledge of the scholarly theories and methods in the filed of leadership (including risk, issues and crisis management) can analyze academic problems on the basis of the history, traditions, distinctive character and place in society of the academic field of leadership (including risk, issues and crisis management) is able to apply theory taught in the subjects in the master programme to individually solve new problems is able to plan, lead and report demanding operations is able to relate theory and concepts to evidence in a systematic way, and to draw appropriate conclusions based on the evidence is able to search information and establish new depth knowledge can analyze and deal critically with various sources of information and use them to structure and formulate scholarly arguments can carry out an independent, limited research r development project regarding demanding operations under supervision and in accordance with applicable norms for research ethics can critically evaluate own work in an objective and scientific matter can analyze relevant academic, professional and research ethical problems can apply his/her knowledge and skills in new areas in order to carry out advanced assignments and projects can communicate extensive independent work and terminology regarding leadership of demanding operations can communicate about academic issues, analyses and conclusions regarding leadership of demanding operations, both with specialists and the general public can contribute to new thinking and innovation processes within leadership of demanding operations

The master's thesis is written as an individual report. The student will be appointed a supervisor from NTNU in Ålesund and possibly an external supervisor from a company for which the assignment should / can be written. The dissertation will be evaluated by an internal and an external examiner.

Mandatory gatherings will be organized during the subject to ensure appropriate progress.

An A3 sheet illustrating the work will be included in this preliminary study. A template for this presentation is available on the Master's website. This sheet should be updated when the master thesis is delivered.
