document good knowledge about maritime insurance and maritime law

demonstrate knowledge and understanding of policies, laws and regulations concerning maritime insurance

independently update his/her knowledge on the subject area, both through literature searches, consulting with experts and by audit of own practice

describe in depth the different types of insurance - coverage and limitations

work independently and conduct simple average adjustments in the areas of hull and P& I insurance

read and evaluate the accuracy of more complex insurance settlements

ability to assess the environmental, ethical and economic implications of sea transport in a global perspective and carry out that knowledge through his/her future career
