Partnering and Value-Driven Project Management

This course provides an introduction to key principles of project work, with a focus on collaboration, organization, and sustainable leadership. Students will learn:

Project partnering

• What partnering is, who to partner with, why it is crucial for project success, and how to develop maturity and succeed in project partnering.

Project as a Working Method

• The characteristics of a project, how project organization works, and how a project organization is established and managed.

Sustainable Project Leadership

• An introduction to stakeholder management, project governance, choice of implementation strategy, value creation (measured through project performance), and factors that contribute to project success.

Skills

• Ability to apply professional knowledge and results from research and development work to both practical and theoretical problems.

General Competence

• Ability to communicate key subject matter—such as theories, issues, and solutions—effectively in writing, orally, and through other relevant forms of expression.
