About this course

Content

In this course, one will learn theory and practice of quantitative methods of movement analysis in a clinical and sports context. Focus is on kinematics through 3D-video based methods and dynamics using force platforms. Other relevant methods that contribute on the understanding of movement coordination and cost may also be briefly introduced.

Fundamentals in signal processing (e.g., noise reduction, smoothing, derivation and integration) is an important element in the course.

Fundamental principles of inverse dynamics as modelling method will be introduced.

Further, the course will provide insight in the functional design of the locomotor system.
