Knowledge: After completion of this basic Industrial Design course, candidates have gained a good understanding on how to convincingly propose industrial design solutions considering user, social and emotional issues on one hand and market and technological trends on the other hand. Besides that, the candidates are able to generate large quantities of diverse ideas and narrow down to convincing, well presented and thoroughly detailed concepts.

Skills: In this course, the candidate has mastered Industrial design visualisation and presentation methods and techniques, in particular sketching, drawing, manual rendering and 3-D model making using foam.

General qualifications: Candidates have good design thinking and problem solving skills to incrementally and reflectively design products.

Lectures, exercises, individual tutoring and self study. The project includes an oral presentation of the results.
