Applied Modelling

Seminars will cover the following subjects:
Working with 3D-models. Surface-modelling. Information technology in the modeling process. Computer aided production. Product data management. Documentation.

Knowledge: This unit aims to further develop knowledge of tools and methods for product design, modelling, communication and documentation.

Skills: Apply 2D and 3D CAD principles to product design development. Create fully dimensioned 3D model of a product component. Apply engineering drawing conventions to CAD layouts and documentation.
Create rendered surfaces and textures for 3D models and animations.
Keep track of product data in a design process.

General qualifications: General insight into methodology and IT-tools for development, prototyping and communication i creating/creative professions.

Lectures, exercises, project, and an oral presentation of the results. The students work individually and in groups.
