Account for a common organization of an offshore company

Account for the various activities involved in management and operation of ships

Show basic understanding of what kind of ships and expertise are required to conduct an offshore operation

Independently update his/her knowledge in the field, both through literature search, consult with experts and through audit of own practice

Provide a detailed overview of the kinds of activities and tasks that are included in an offshore operation

Explain in depth which international rules that define competency requirements for seafarers

Document how signing on a crew takes place

Describe what is required of certificates and courses for a crew on a PSV

Describe the main elements of the ISM Code, and what consequence they have for a shipping company

Pedagogiske metoder:

Lectures, case studies, exercises that require obligatory attendance  

Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:

1 obligatory submission must be approved in order for the candidate to be allowed to take the exam. The teacher determines the content, time period and submission for the group work, and the report must be submitted to the specified date
