Wood Composites - Processing, Properties and Products

Wood as material, wood and natural fiber composites, moisture upptake and other properties. Composite processing and product design.

The student will have a knowledge on wood and other natural materials, about the processing and properties of composites based on these materials. Further on the student will have knowledge of industrial applications of wood and natural fiber composites and product development of new wood composite products.

Lectures, project work and lab. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. If there is a re-sit examination, the examintaion form may be changed from written to oral.
