Accumulation. District heating. Power control and construction. Heat recovery, cooling, low-temperature systems. Thermodynamic basis for heat pumps/cooling systems, components, coolants, calculation of refrigerating needs, introduction to controlling and regulating, system solutions for cooling systems ad heat pumps.

Learning outcomes

Learning outcome:
Knowledge: The candidate has the knowledge of the engineering and integration of heating systems and the heat pump/refrigeration system in modern buildings. Skills: The candidate should be able to dimension and construct heating plants and heat pump/refrigeration facilities in modern buildings. Furthermore, the candidate shall be able to communicate with architects, building advisers and other actors in the construction industry around the integration of heating plants and heat pump/refrigeration systems. General competence: Candidate should have insight into opportunities and limitations when selecting solutions within the subject and further communicate this to various target groups both within and outside the discipline

Teaching methods

Lectures, exercises and laboratory work. Possibly visit(s) at building site and companies. Self-study.
