Knowledge: The candidate has knowledge about the material's characteristics and uses. The candidate has achieved competence in the calculation and structural engineering. The candidate has the expertise in using element methods in general, with special emphasis on the use of the suite Solid Works simulation. Skills: The candidate is capable of dimensioning, designing, and assembling machine elements according to function requirements. The candidate can identify, plan and execute projects within its own field, and perform work duties and experiments, both independent and in-team in structural engineering. The candidate has achieved skill in the use of standards and catalogue material. General competence: Candidate has insight into the health, safety and the environment and technical and economic consequences of selected solutions within its field. The candidate can communicate knowledge within its field to various audiences both written and orally, in Norwegian and English.
