Project assignment

The subject of the project has to be relevant to the studies "Operating and maintenance".

After completing the course, the candidate must have the following total learning outcomes: Knowledge: The candidate will learn to immerse himself in a specific topic in the field of operational and maintenance technology. The specialization includes to gain knowledge through contact with business / management, literature studies and other sources, so as to combine this with own knowledge.

Skills: The candidate shall be able to complete a project work with the preparation of a project plan, systematic processing of academic information and writing a project report according to the program's project manual.

General competence: The candidate must have sufficient basis for the completion of the bachelor thesis within the subject area

Team based project work with guidance by NTNU, min 2, max 4 students pr team.

The project team itself is to propose the subject together with a detailed description in a preliminary project. The report of the preliminary project Forprosjektrapporten legges frem for veileder for vurdering. Godkjent forprosjektrapport er å anse som oppgavetekst som legges til grunn for sensur.
Det forventes at studentene i prosjektarbeidet selv aktivt bruker egen kunnskap og samtidig søker ny og videre kunnskap.
Prosjektgruppen skal selv ta initiativ til å inngå samarbeide med en bedrift om oppgavegjennomføring. Prosjektgruppe som ikke selv finner bedrift å samarbeide med skal ta kontakt med emneansvarlig for å etablere en oppgave internt på NTNU.

Samarbeidsbedrift skal godkjennes av emneansvarlig/veileder i NTNU.

Students are advised to organize project groups, provide a project assignment subject and cooperation agreement with a company during the autumn semester before TMAS2004 is to commence.
