- engineering software (Excel, Solidworks, etc.)
- freehand drawing, technical drawing, and CAD
- innovation and new product development (generation of idea and concept, QFD, LEAN development, prototyping, project management, etc.)
- health, safety, and environment (HSE)
- life-cycle assessment (LCA)
- mechatronics
Project work

Learning outcome
Knowledge: The candidate is to focus on its own field of knowledge on the history of technology, technology development, role of engineering in society and the consequences of development and use of technology. The candidate is to have a good understanding of engineering working methods to the solution of technological tasks. The candidate should have basic knowledge for further study and keep track of relevant work activities in future vocational practice. Skills: The candidate has engineering professional digital competence within its field, can work in relevant laboratories/fields and contains methods and tools as a basis for targeted and innovative work. The candidate can identify, plan and execute projects within their own fields, work tasks and experiments, both independently, and in teams. The candidate can find, assess, use and refer to information and subject matter, and could portray physical models in order to shed light on a problem position. The candidate can contribute to new thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship through participation in the development and realization of products, services, systems and/or other solutions. General competence: The candidate has insight into the environmental, health, social and economic implications of products and solutions within its field, and can put these in an ethical perspective and a life-cycle perspective. The candidate can communicate knowledge within its field to different audiences both written and orally, in Norwegian and English, and can help to highlight the importance and impact of technology. The candidate can reflect on their own professional exercise, even in teams and in an interdisciplinary context, and can adapt this to the appropriate work situation. The candidate can contribute to the development of good practices through participating in professional discussions within the field of discipline, and sharing their knowledge and experience with others
